Dr. Ladina Rageth

As the Executive Director, Ladina Rageth is responsible for the management and operation of the SSPG including its research, education, outreach, and communication activities. She further contributes to the SSPG’s strategic development and continuing education programmes on public management, governance, and administration. Her translational research focuses on the functioning and management of higher education institutions, with the aim to provide empirical evidence that helps governments and policymakers meet todays and tomorrows’ challenges of the higher education sector.

Ladina Rageth is a social scientist with many years of experience in research and project management in the academic, public, and private sectors. She holds a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Zurich and a PhD from the ETH Zurich. Before joining the SSPG, she was a Senior Researcher at the Chair of Education Systems at ETH Zurich, where her research and translational projects centered on the sociology of education, with a specific focus on the labor market outcomes, social status, and institutionalization of education and training programmes. She not only applied diverse social science methods to her research interests but also substantiated her empirical research with conceptual and theoretical frameworks. Moreover, she was engaged in numerous knowledge transfer and outreach activities, such as presentations and publication.
