MAS in International Governance and Law

Switzerland is closely interconnected with international and European governance structures. Professionals working in public administration, international or non-profit organisations, regulatory bodies, and related sectors are increasingly required to engage in cross-border processes and complex multilevel governance environments. To represent institutional interests and confidently navigate international frameworks, a solid understanding of international governance and legal structures is essential.

The modular MAS in International Governance and Law (MAS IGL), jointly offered by ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to design, manage, and implement complex governance projects and initiatives at an international level.

The programme is delivered jointly by the Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG) at ETH Zurich and the external page Europa Institut at the University of Zurich (EIZ), combining expertise in governance, law and policy.

The core of the MAS IGL consists of three CAS programmes at the two universities, complemented by a MAS module and thesis.

The programme is currently being revised.  For enquiries or to express your interest in the programme, please contact Alba Martinez, Programme Coordinator at SSPG.
